To address food insecurity, the Haitian Health Foundation (HHF), a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of women, children, families and communities through health care, education and community development carried out the distribution of 8,000 food kits and 8,000 hygiene kits in Jérémie on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

In addition to its mission, it must be said that the Haitian Health Foundation (HHF) began in 1982 when Doctor Lowney visited Jérémie and noted that the need for health care was significant. HHF’s health services include maternal health and baby health care; women’s health, residential care for severely malnourished children and women with high-risk pregnancies at the Center of Hope; disease prevention and management; vaccination; distribution of vitamins; Screening, treatment and management of HIV and diabetes; family planning and reproductive health; dental and mental health services.
