Here are just a few of our medical accomplishments last year:

40,281 medical consultations and 1,647 diabetic consultations. We are currently providing medication and supplemental food to 695 diabetic patients.

82,680 laboratory tests, including 6,124 HIV tests, 4,662 syphilis tests, 11,902 CBC, 5,400 blood sugar tests, 7,517 X-rays, and 7,229 ultrasounds.

Our two dentists performed 8,705 consultations and treated thousands of patients with decay, abscesses, and other painful dental problems. We also conducted 286 oral health educational sessions with 11,126 attending.

2,744 mobile clinics, where our medical staff travel to hard-to-reach areas to provide medical services and dental care, including lab testing and pharmacy. 

16,618 home visits to the ill and to new mothers and 20,004 prenatal consultations, including provision of 8,151 vaccinations to pregnant women.

1,294 health education presentations, benefiting 41,906 participants.

3,846 cervical cancer screenings, particularly important with the high incidence and mortality rate of this preventable disease.

Evacuation of 72 high-risk pregnant women from their villages to advanced care at HHF’s Center of Hope, resulting in a 100% survival rate for these women and their babies. 

Pediatric care for 24,999 children aged 0-5 including distribution of Vitamin A to prevent childhood blindness, and treatment for intestinal worms, among many other necessary services.

Our Mental Health staff cared for 7,840 new patients, many of whom experienced or witnessed gang violence.
