HHF Container Loading ~~ In October we had the opportunity to load the container with a great crew of volunteers and were able to fit another portable building into the container, which will allow us to store more food and materials to bridge us through the crises down in Haiti. Our next scheduled container loading date is December 13th, so join us in loading our Land-Sea container to Haiti with the items that are so necessary to keep HHF's operations going down in Haiti. 5th Annual Jerry Lowney—Haitian Health Foundation Golf Tournament •• A Tremendous Success, Again ••
The 5th Annual Jerry Lowney—Haitian Health Foundation Golf Tournament was held Thursday, August 21, at the Norwich Golf Club. All 18 of the holes were sponsored and nearly 100 golfers signed up for the tourney. The Haitian Health Foundation would like to thank each and every individual donor, player, and corporate sponsor for their support of our Neighbors in Need.

4Real Productions & Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers
Some may know that last summer Haitian Health Foundation had a visit from Flea, of the Red Hot Chili Peppers (shown above near Jérémie, Haiti, with local boys and girls). He was in Jérémie to film an episode of 4Real, a series of half-hour television shows hosted by Sol Guy that takes celebrity guests on adventures around the world to connect with young leaders who, under extreme circumstances, are affecting REAL change. He stayed at the clinic and followed Haitian Health Village Agents for several days. Flea praises HHF in the program, saying, "HHF is bringing health care right to the people of rural Haiti. This is an incredible organization, they are running it with a 7% overhead, a tiny little overhead. You know these people are saints that are doing this. This is a beautiful thing so I would just urge anyone, you know if they can help the HHF that they’d be doing a really great thing." You can view online materials for the program at 4Real's Web site. Check back soon for air dates and availability over the Internet, if possible. Airing of this Canadian television show should occur between now and March, 2008, on Canadian MTV, CTV (also in Canada), and globally on National Geographic Channel International.
